Job summary

Apple Inc. in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking a skilled ML engineer to shape next-generation product designs. You will develop and implement machine learning methods grounded in predictive finite element simulations, addressing critical design load cases and enabling rapid design iterations.

As a core member of the Product Design FEA team, you’ll collaborate across engineering domains to push the boundaries of innovation for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Vision Pro and beyond.

Qualifications

• Master of Science or higher in CS/ML/ME or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience
• PhD strongly preferred for advanced research roles in ML/FEA
• Proficiency in Python and ML libraries
• Experience applying ML/DL/optimization to engineering design

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement ML methods based on predictive finite element simulations
• Drive rapid design iterations by assessing risks and optimizing trade-offs
