Job summary

SRC, Inc. is seeking summer 2027 Machine Learning Engineering interns for Dayton, OH or Syracuse, NY. You will work on solving meaningful ML problems that protect soldiers and allies, developing deep learning models and statistical methods in small teams.

Ideal candidates have some ML exposure, are pursuing college coursework with a GPA of 3.3+, and can commit to up to 40 hours per week. The program emphasizes collaboration, learning, and hands-on impact in defense and related fields.

Qualifications

• One or more years of college with some familiarity with ML, DRL, or LLMs.
• GPA minimum 3.3; transcripts required with application (unofficial acceptable).
• Must be able to work up to 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply ML models to run on cloud and edge platforms.
• Assist with algorithm and model development and integration into hardware/software components.
• Collect, generate, and augment datasets for training and evaluation.
• Collaborate with domain experts to identify algorithm and model requirements.
