Job summary

TikTok in San Jose is seeking a highly skilled engineer for its Governance and Experience Algorithm team. You will identify and develop algorithms to detect risk, violations, and low-quality activity across products, carts, short videos, and live streams, ensuring platform safety and reliability.

The role focuses on building scalable ML solutions, mining for fraudulent behavior, optimizing large content libraries, and contributing to data construction and model alignment for e-commerce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
• Solid coding skills, ability to develop in a Linux environment, proficient in Python, Go, or C++.
• Solid foundation in data structures/algorithms, proficient in machine learning/deep learning theory, and rich practical experience.
• Familiar with 1-2 areas in natural language processing, computer vision, multimodal, graph algorithms, search algorithms, text/data mining, and LLM.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify algorithms for risk/violation/low-quality issues in e-commerce scenarios (products, carts, short videos, live streams).
• Mine and identify algorithms to detect fraudulent behaviors and identify risky, violated, or low-quality merchants and creators.
• Optimize algorithms for large-scale brand libraries, products, and content deduplication/clustering.
• Contribute to data construction, instruction fine-tuning, CoT, alignment, and other work for large models in e-commerce to optimize effect.
• Explore reinforcement learning and operations research algorithms for intelligent dispatching and audit scheduling.
