Job summary

TikTok is seeking graduate-level researchers to join the Governance and Experience Algorithm team in Seattle, focusing on risk detection, platform governance, and large-scale model alignment for e-commerce content. You will work on data construction, instruction tuning, and optimization to improve audit quality and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have a PhD, strong Linux coding skills (Python/Go/C++), and experience in NLP, CV, or multimodal areas. Availability to onboard by year-end is preferred.

Qualifications

• PhD in software development, computer science, computer engineering or related field.
• Strong coding in Linux, proficient in Python, Go or C++.
• Solid data structures/algorithms foundation with ML/DL theory.
• Familiar with NLP, CV, multimodal, graph algorithms, search, text mining, LLM.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

• Identify risk/violation/low-quality algorithms for e-commerce products, carts, short videos and live streaming with products.
• Mine and detect fraudulent behaviors and identify risky merchants and creators.
• Optimize algorithms for large-scale brand libraries and content deduplication/clustering.
• Work on data construction, instruction fine-tuning, CoT, alignment for large models in e-commerce.
• Explore reinforcement learning and operations research for intelligent dispatching/audit scheduling.
