The role focuses on benchmarking, exploring new optimisation strategies for modern processor capabilities, and building features for ML workloads, with opportunities to influence the toolchain across the company.

Qualifications

• Early-career experience with compilers or developer tooling.
• Familiarity with LLVM or GCC is a strong plus.
• Upstream contributions to an open source compiler project welcome.

Responsibilities

• Finding where the toolchain leaves performance on the table, using benchmarking and code analysis.
• Investigating new approaches to optimisation that take advantage of newer processor capabilities.
• Building compiler features and optimisations that serve modern machine learning workloads.
