Job summary

5V Tech is seeking a Compiler Software Engineer to join the core compiler group working between backend code generation and the framework layer. You will help optimize performance and contribute upstream to production tooling.

The role focuses on benchmarking, exploring new optimisation strategies for modern processor capabilities, and building features for ML workloads, with opportunities to influence the toolchain across the company.

Qualifications

• Early-career experience with compilers or developer tooling.
• Familiarity with LLVM or GCC is a strong plus.
• Upstream contributions to an open source compiler project welcome.

A well-established chip company is growing the compiler team behind its processor products. The group owns how efficiently customer workloads translate onto the hardware, and they're bringing in a Compiler Software Engineer to work on optimisation quality across the toolchain.

You'll sit inside the core compiler group, working between backend code generation and the framework layer, with scope to contribute upstream alongside production work.
