Marcus Hotels & Resorts is hiring a Mixologist/Lead Bartender for the Hilton Milwaukee Monarch Lounge. The role focuses on exceptional beverage service in an upscale lounge setting with emphasis on mixology and guest experience.

You will set up daily, stock the bar, garnish, and present drinks while ensuring compliance with liquor regulations. This full-time, hourly union position offers benefits and career growth within Marcus portfolio.

Qualifications

• Two years of bartending or bar service in a fine dining outlet.
• Weekend availability, including nights.
• Strong knowledge of wine, spirits and beer; familiar with vintages and regions.
• Bartending certificate; TIPS certification.
• Ability to obtain government licenses/certificates.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and checks.
• Proficient in English for guest communication; writing requisitions.
• Manual dexterity for garnishes, glassware and bartending tasks.

What will you be doing

• Set up and stock the bar daily, including beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, and produce.
• Maintain stock, cut, and store fresh garnishes, juices, and perishables to ensure quality.
• Greet guests, take food and drink orders, mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes and portion control.
• Serve food at the bar and take tables when needed
• Understand food and drink menu, wine list, ingredients, preparation, and service.
• Efficiently use POS and manage bar inventory.
• Handle cash transactions, verify charges, and process guest checks.
• Perform general cleaning tasks using standard products to meet health standards and maintain glassware.
• Must adhere to all State, Federal, and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests to ensure all laws are being followed.
• Other duties as assigned such as assisting security with disorderly guests and acting as a server when guests want to be served in the bar area.

What we are looking for

• At least two years of bartending or bar service experience in a fine dining outlet.
• Must be available to work weekend nights.
• Excellent communication skills and familiarity with the hospitality industry.
• Must have a high level of knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer. Must be able to recite vintages, regions, and multiple levels of liquor.
• Ability to obtain any government required license or certificate. Bartending certificate required. TIPS certification is required.
• Basic math skills for cash register operations, making change, totaling checks, and understanding portion sizes.
• Proficient in English for guest communication and order taking; basic writing skills for requisitions, balance sheets, and vouchers.
• Manual dexterity for garnishes, handling glassware and bottles, scooping ice, mixing drinks, and retrieving stock.
