Job summary

Hilton Fairfax in Northern Virginia is seeking an experienced Mixologist/Bartender to join the restaurant team. Bartenders serve beverages and/or food to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner, ensuring guest satisfaction.

They prepare beverages for other servers and act as cashier for the lounge, while staying knowledgeable about the menu to answer questions. The hourly rate for this position is $12/hour plus tips, with a comprehensive benefits package and the Hilton Hotel

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state, federal and corporate liquor regulations regarding minors and intoxicated guests.
• Must hold a Food Handler Card or be able to certify.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of alcoholic beverages.
• Basic math skills to operate cash register, make change, total checks and perform cash drops.
• Basic English writing skills for requisitions and vouchers.
• Dexterity to garnish, handle glassware and stock.
• Effective communication with guests and team members.

Located in the hotel lobby, Nova Grill serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner offering traditional comfort dishes blending Virginia and Mid‑Atlantic influences.

The Hilton Fairfax is looking for an experienced Mixologist/Bartender to join the restaurant team. Bartenders serve beverages and/or food to the guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner, resulting in guest satisfaction. Bartenders prepare beverages for other servers to supply to guests, and act as cashier for the lounge. Bartenders must be familiar with the restaurant menu and offerings to prepare drinks accurately and be able to answer guest questions.

Hourly rate for this position is $12/hour plus tips.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Hold a current Food Handler Card or must be able to get certified.
• Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages.
• Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes.
• Basic English language writing skills necessary for completion of requisitions, and vouchers.
• Sufficient manual dexterity in hands to use a knife to make garnish, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and reach overhead to retrieve stock.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with hotel guests and Team Members.
