Job summary

Driftwood Hospitality Management seeks a Mixologist/Bartender for the Hilton Fairfax in Fairfax, VA. This full-time role involves guest welcome, drink preparation, and assisting with service in the lounge and restaurant.

The Hilton Fairfax is looking for an experienced Mixologist/Bartender to join the restaurant team.

Responsibilities

• Serve beverages and/or food to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner, ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Prepare beverages for servers to deliver to guests.
• Act as cashier for the lounge.
• Familiarize with the restaurant menu and offerings to prepare drinks accurately and answer guest questions.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations related to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Hold a current Food Handler Card or be able to obtain one.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages.
• Basic mathematical skills required to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, and prepare cash drops.
• Basic English writing skills for completions of requisitions and vouchers.
• Manual dexterity to use a knife, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and reach overhead to retrieve stock.
• Effective communication skills with hotel guests and team members.
