Job summary

Knight’s Companies is seeking a Mixer Truck Driver to join our team in the Savannah area. This role focuses on safely operating a ready-mix truck, delivering high-quality concrete products, and upholding company values of safety and exceptional customer service.

Requirements include a CDL Class A or B, a high school diploma or GED, and at least one year of CDL driving experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, PTO, and a company 401(k) plan. Sign-on bonus of $2,000 is offered.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a concrete mixer truck in DOT-regulated operations
• Deliver concrete to job sites accurately and efficiently
• Inspect loads for slump, texture, color and quality
• Verify delivery instructions and locations before leaving the plant
• Maintain communication with plant personnel and dispatch for coordination
• Provide exceptional customer service on every delivery
• Complete delivery tickets, logs, and inspection reports
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections
• Maintain truck cleanliness and perform minor maintenance
• Participate in safety meetings and follow safety standards
• Support plant operations and assist team members as needed

Knight’s Companies is seeking a Mixer Truck Driver to join our growing team. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a ready-mix truck while delivering high-quality concrete products to our customers. This position plays a critical role in representing our company values, ensuring safety, and providing exceptional customer service on every delivery.

What You’ll Do:

• Safely operate a concrete mixer truck in compliance with all DOT regulations and company policies
• Deliver concrete to job sites efficiently and accurately
• Inspect loads to ensure proper mix consistency and quality (slump, texture, color, etc.)
• Verify delivery instructions and job site locations before departing the plant
• Maintain communication with plant personnel and dispatch for delivery coordination
• Build strong relationships with customers and provide exceptional service at all times
• Complete required paperwork including delivery tickets, logs, and inspection reports
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on equipment
• Maintain truck cleanliness and perform minor maintenance as needed
• Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all safety standards
• Support plant operations and assist team members when needed

What You Need to Be Successful:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A or B) required
• Valid REAL ID in state of residence required
• Must be at least:
  • 18 years of age for operations in South Carolina
  • 21 years of age for operations in Georgia
• Minimum of one (1) year of CDL driving experience required
• No DUI/DWI violations within the past five (5) years
• No more than three (3) moving violations within the past three (3) years
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
• Bilingual skills are a plus
