Job summary

Knight’s Companies Inc. in Summerville, SC seeks a Mixer Truck Driver to safely operate a ready-mix truck and deliver concrete to job sites with professionalism and a safety-first approach.

You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, verify delivery instructions, maintain records, and provide excellent customer service while supporting plant operations and team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid CDL Class A or B required.
• Valid REAL ID in state of residence required.
• Minimum driving experience: 1 year.
• Age: SC 18+, GA 21+.
• No DUI/DWI within 5 years.
• No more than 3 moving violations in 3 years.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a concrete mixer truck in DOT-compliant manner.
• Deliver concrete to job sites efficiently and accurately.
• Inspect loads for mix quality (slump, texture, color).
• Verify delivery instructions and locations before departure.
• Maintain communication with plant and dispatch.
• Provide excellent customer service on every delivery.
• Complete tickets, logs and inspection reports.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain truck cleanliness and perform minor maintenance.
• Attend safety meetings and follow safety standards.
• Support plant operations and assist team members.

Knight's Companies is seeking a Mixer Truck Driver to join our growing team. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a ready-mix truck while delivering high-quality concrete products to our customers. This position plays a critical role in representing our company values, ensuring safety, and providing exceptional customer service on every delivery.

What You'll Do:

• Safely operate a concrete mixer truck in compliance with all DOT regulations and company policies
• Deliver concrete to job sites efficiently and accurately
• Inspect loads to ensure proper mix consistency and quality (slump, texture, color, etc.)
• Verify delivery instructions and job site locations before departing the plant
• Maintain communication with plant personnel and dispatch for delivery coordination
• Build strong relationships with customers and provide exceptional service at all times
• Complete required paperwork including delivery tickets, logs, and inspection reports
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on equipment
• Maintain truck cleanliness and perform minor maintenance as needed
• Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all safety standards
• Support plant operations and assist team members when needed

What You Need to Be Successful:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL Class A or B) required
• Valid REAL ID in state of residence required
• Must be at least:
  • 18 years of age for operations in South Carolina
  • 21 years of age for operations in Georgia

Minimum of one (1) year of CDL driving experience required

• No DUI/DWI violations within the past five (5) years
• No more than three (3) moving violations within the past three (3) years
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
• Bilingual skills are a plus
