Job summary

Nestle is seeking a production associate for meat processing and start-up support. you will set up equipment, monitor weights, and review recipes and deviations daily in a fast-paced Nestle factory environment.

The role requires basic English, 90 days of food manufacturing experience preferred, and lifting and manual handling capabilities. Overtime may be required, and strict cleanliness and safety standards apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or preferred.
• Basic English to follow verbal and written directions.
• 90 days of food manufacturing experience is preferred at a Nestle factory.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment timely for production start-up and verify weights.
• Review recipes and deviations daily and keep paperwork up-to-date.
• Maintain clean, labeled, and covered meat and mixtures.
• Monitor patties, prevent overlap, and manage scrap/WIP tickets at shift end.
• Operate Mondo, Reitz mixer, and related equipment safely.
• Follow safety and quality standards throughout production.

Job description

• Set up all equipment properly and on time for punctual production start-up, including meat and meat mixtures
• Review recipes and deviations daily
• Complete accurate and up-to-date paperwork
• Provide oven operator with accurate raw weights at designated intervals
• Monitor patties and separate overlapping patties while keeping the belt full
• Reduce meat spillage and scrap; complete scrap and WIP tickets at shift end
• Keep meat and meat mixtures covered and labeled
• Remove condensation from walls, equipment, doors, and ceilings
• Obtain and calibrate scales and maintain proper weight control
• Operate equipment only when Code 10-quality product is being produced
• Check the area hourly for condensation
• Keep floors clean and free of grease, trash, and meat particles
• Use meat in order of oldest grinding day codes and lowest batch numbers
• Pull the E-cord and clear patties from the conveyor when excessive overlap occurs
• Shovel product off the floor when necessary
• Remain in the work area while equipment is operating
• Efficiently operate the former, mondo, Reitz mixer, inspect, and infeed positions
• Perform other duties assigned by the Team Leader

Requirements

• Repeat heavy lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling
• Basic computer data entry
• Work overtime as needed
• High School Diploma/GED preferred
• Basic proficiency of English language to comply with verbal and written directions, signs, policies and procedures
• 90 days of food manufacturing experience working in a Nestle factory preferred
• Position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship
