Job summary

Accelera is seeking a Batch Mixer to support expanding manufacturing operations in Portage, IN. This full-time role offers 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift opportunities with weekly pay and a stable team environment.

You will collect and blend raw materials, prepare batches for the line, and ensure accurate batch records while maintaining equipment and a safe workplace. Prior batch-mixing experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing or batch mixing experience preferred but not required.
• Proficient with basic computer systems; PLC familiarity preferred.
• Ability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations.
• Strong verbal and written communication; self-driven and collaborative.

• Collect, measure, and combine raw materials based on batch formulas.

Job description

This is a full-time position offering a pay rate between $19.50 and $20.50 per hour. We have openings across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, and all employees are paid on a weekly basis. We are currently seeking a Batch Mixer to support our expanding manufacturing operations in Portage, IN, providing a stable environment with potential for professional advancement.

Core Responsibilities

• Collect, measure, and combine raw materials based on specific batch formulas
• Prepare and cook batches to ensure they are ready for the production line
• Review and adhere to all production documentation and batch records
• Manage the operation of both heated and non-heated batching machinery
• Ensure all mixing equipment is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to maintain standards
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance to help keep machinery running efficiently
• Help maintain a safe and high-quality working environment for the entire team

Required Qualifications

• Prior background in manufacturing or batch mixing is helpful but not mandatory
• Proficiency with basic computer systems, with preference given to those familiar with PLCs
• Ability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• A self-driven attitude that allows you to contribute both independently and as part of a collaborative group
