Job summary

Nexus Employment in Portage, IN is hiring a Batch Mixer to join a growing manufacturing team. You will gather, weigh, and mix ingredients according to batch recipes and prepare finished batches for production use.

The role requires reading batch records, following production instructions, operating batching systems (heated and non-heated), and keeping equipment clean. Basic computer skills and good math and communication abilities help you succeed; shifts include 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing or batch mixing experience (preferred, not required).
• Basic computer skills (PLC experience a plus).
• Intermediate math skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently or with a team.

Responsibilities

• Gather, weigh, and mix ingredients according to batch recipes.
• Cook and prepare finished batches for production use.
• Read and follow batch records and production instructions.
• Operate batching systems (heated & non-heated)
• Clean and sanitize batching equipment
• Perform basic preventative maintenance
• Follow all safety and quality procedures
