Mitigation Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Mitigation Operations Manager to lead our water, fire, mold, structural cleaning, and emergency-service operations in the Charlotte area. This is a hands-on leadership role for an organized, accountable professional who can manage people, oversee multiple active projects, maintain accurate documentation, deliver an excellent customer experience, and drive department profitability.

What You’ll Do

1. Own mitigation projects from initial response through completion, including scopes, production plans, schedules, labor, equipment, documentation, and job costs
2. Lead, train, and hold the mitigation team accountable for productivity, quality, safety, documentation, and customer service
3. Ensure projects are properly scoped, documented, monitored, and completed according to company and IICRC standards
4. Inspect work at key stages and require corrections before equipment removal, project completion, or billing
5. Keep customers, adjusters, property managers, referral partners, and internal teams informed about timelines, changes, and concerns
6. Manage job costs against budget, document scope changes, and ensure files are complete and ready for estimating and billing
7. Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop mitigation team members
8. Coordinate emergency-response coverage and ensure the department is properly staffed, equipped, and prepared

What We’re Looking For

1. Experience in water mitigation, fire and smoke restoration, mold remediation, structural drying, or disaster recovery
2. Proven record managing employees, schedules, and multiple active projects
3. Strong understanding of mitigation scopes, drying documentation, job costs, and project profitability
4. Strong leadership, organization, accountability, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
5. Clear, professional communication with customers, adjusters, property managers, vendors, and internal teams
6. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven emergency-services environment
7. IICRC certifications, restoration-management software experience, and estimating experience are strongly preferred

Work Environment

1. Mix of office and jobsite work with regular travel throughout the Charlotte market
2. Flexible schedule and participation in after-hours emergency response when restoration needs arise
3. Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs and safely work in active residential and commercial job sites required

Compensation: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
