Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and dependable Estimator / Project Manager to oversee mitigation and emergency services projects from initial response through completion. This position requires strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with a working knowledge of water mitigation, mold remediation, and biohazard cleanup.

The Estimator / Project Manager will manage multiple projects and crews simultaneously, oversee job-site operations, prepare estimates and scopes, coordinate employees and subcontractors, communicate with customers and management, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, profitably, and in accordance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple construction, mitigation, and emergency services projects and crews simultaneously.
  • Lead and coordinate Superintendents, technicians, subcontractors, and other field personnel to ensure projects remain on schedule and meet production goals.
  • Respond to emergency service calls during regular business hours and after-hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as part of the company’s on-call rotation.
  • Travel to job sites throughout Atlanta and surrounding areas to assess losses, oversee operations, inspect work, and address project needs.
  • Prepare accurate estimates, scopes of work, and proposals for assigned mitigation projects.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of water mitigation, mold remediation, and biohazard cleanup procedures and industry standards.
  • Oversee day-to-day job-site management and ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules, budgets, production timelines, and profitability.
  • Ensure accurate scopes of work and appropriate equipment setups; monitor conditions and add or adjust equipment as necessary.
  • Perform or oversee moisture inspections, document moisture readings, and ensure information is accurately entered into the company’s job management software.
  • Inspect job sites, review completed work, and ensure quality control throughout the project.
  • Ensure all work complies with project plans, specifications, applicable building codes, contract requirements, and company standards.
  • Communicate daily with customers, crews, Superintendents, subcontractors, and management regarding project status, expectations, concerns, and scheduling.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and promptly address and resolve customer and project-related issues.
  • Maintain complete and accurate job files, including photographs, estimates, scopes, contracts, change orders, moisture readings, equipment documentation, daily reports, and other required records.
  • Complete and submit daily project and production reports.
  • Review subcontractor bids, negotiate contracts, coordinate subcontractor activities, and submit payment requests for completed work.
  • Source, order, track, and manage materials, equipment, products, and supplies required for each project.
  • Oversee projects through completion, including equipment removal, final cleaning, punch-list items, and customer satisfaction.
  • Inspect and approve completed work and ensure projects are properly closed out.
  • Participate in weekly team and management meetings and provide updates regarding project progress, challenges, production, and upcoming needs.
  • Maintain professional communication, appearance, conduct, and personal hygiene at all times and ensure the same standards are maintained by assigned team members.
  • Maintain a positive, professional, and can-do attitude while working collaboratively with customers, employees, subcontractors, and management.
  • Be willing to step in and assist wherever needed, take initiative, and assume additional responsibilities as business and project needs arise.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn, ask questions, accept direction, and continuously develop knowledge and skills related to mitigation and emergency services.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Previous experience managing restoration, mitigation, or emergency services projects.
  • Strong knowledge of water mitigation, odor elimination, and mold remediation.
  • Ability to prepare accurate water mitigation estimates and scopes of work.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects, crews, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to meet production goals while maintaining project profitability and quality standards.
  • Proficient with computers, job management software, and common business applications.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  • Must be willing and able to travel throughout Atlanta and surrounding areas.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, climb, drive, bend, lift, and perform other physical activities required to manage and inspect job sites.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50+ pounds as required.
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
  • Must successfully pass required background and drug screening, subject to applicable law.
  • Must demonstrate reliability, professionalism, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to work as part of a team.
