Job summary

BYU Pathway seeks an entry-level training role to support missionaries in diverse settings, including language skills, gospel instruction, and skill development. The position involves coaching, lesson planning, and working with mission leadership to ensure effective training outcomes.

Responsibilities include delivering instruction, coordinating with a companion teacher, and assisting in assessing learners’ progress.

Qualifications

• Must be a returned missionary no longer than 3 years.
• Fluency in specified second language (for language teaching positions).
• Excellent coaching, facilitation, and training skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction, direction, counsel, and feedback to missionaries in various training settings.
• Plan and prepare lessons following approved curriculum with a companion teacher.
• Direct missionaries in planning and documenting their learning.
• Implement guidance from supervisors and training leadership.
• Attend weekly training and co-teacher meetings.
• Coordinate with mission leadership as requested.
• Coach missionaries in preparation for practice and live lessons.
• Assist in assessing language proficiency of missionaries and teacher applicants.
