Job summary

The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod is seeking a Mission Advancement professional to support the Together in Mission (TIM) program. You will raise awareness, engage congregations, and secure financial commitments to sustain missionary work, while providing professional services to TIM partners.

Experience in nonprofit fundraising, strong donor-care skills, and familiarity with Salesforce are highly valued. Some travel is required to connect with congregations and partners.

Qualifications

• Active LCMS congregant member preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum five years in admin, coordination, or program management, nonprofit fundraising preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the TIM program and contribute to awareness and sponsorship efforts.
• Research potential TIM congregations and group partners for network-building.
• Solicit and document financial commitments; convert gifts to ongoing TIM pledges.
• Encourage renewal and expansion of TIM support; steward post-gift relationships.
• Collaborate with grant/foundation writing teams to secure missionary funding.
