Job summary

Hermeus is offering a Mission Systems Engineering internship spanning approximately 16 weeks in spring and 12 weeks in summer. The role crosses avionics, software, sensors, and system integration to build, test, and troubleshoot mission capabilities.

Interns gain hands-on hardware and software experience, with onsite work and collaborative teams. Responsibilities include testing mission systems, developing control software, and documenting results, with emphasis on multidisciplinary

Qualifications

Pursuing degree in a related field.
Experience with software development and hardware integration.
Proficiency in C++ or Python.
GPA 3.0+ or higher.

Responsibilities

Support integration and testing of mission hardware, software, sensors, radios, processors, and avionics systems.
Develop and test software for command and control, telemetry, and subsystem interfaces.
Perform hardware/software bring-up, debugging, and troubleshooting in lab, HIL, ground-test, and aircraft environments.
Support system interfaces, networking, communication protocols, and integration requirements.
Collaborate with software, avionics, autonomy, communications, and flight-test teams.
Document test results, technical findings, and system configurations.
