Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks a Systems Engineer to architect and implement mission-centered MBSE capabilities that advance warfighter decision making. You will design digital models and system architectures for complex, distributed, secure systems supporting precision strike missions.

The role emphasizes collaboration with government sponsors, industry partners, and multi-disciplinary teams to deliver mission-relevant solutions in a cutting-edge R&D environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s in a technical field such as Systems Engineering, Physics, CS or related.
• Interest or experience in systems engineering, software engineering, decision science, cybersecurity or AI/ML.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
• Eligible for Interim Secret clearance, ultimately Top Secret/SCI; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsabilités

• Apply systems thinking to translate needs into architectures and system requirements.
• Design and build MBSE models (SysML/UAF) for complex mission systems.
• Work in a cutting-edge R&D environment and explore new paths.
• Collaborate with internal teams, sponsors, warfighters and partners.
