Job summary

Astrion is seeking a Systems Engineer at NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View, CA to support missions, projects, and technology demonstrations. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for all technical aspects of the project or mission, working closely with project managers and technical staff to plan and develop the technical products to ensure project success, meeting customer goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in systems engineering, engineering, or equivalent technical field.
3-5 years of experience in Systems Engineers or combination of technical area lead and systems engineer.
Experience as a technical lead with system-level responsibilities.
Familiar with systems engineering approach, procedures and processes.
Strong communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

Responsible for technical activities, including overall technical development, work tasking, customer satisfaction, and technical performance tracking and reporting.
Technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration across a diverse team.
Requirements management: develop, allocate, track implementation, control changes.
Establishing technical processes, procedures, and templates; develop system engineering plans.
Developing a systems engineering and management plan; requirements verification and validation.
