Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Mission Solutions Lead to rapidly prototype and field enterprise-scale data solutions in partnership with mission customers. You will lead a small, agile team to move fast, prototype first, and translate pilots into mission-ready capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/related field or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years in data engineering, data architecture, platform operations, or customer-facing solutions delivery.
• Ability to rapidly prototype, lead technically under ambiguity, and mentor juniors.
• Proven experience driving adoption of new technical solutions.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong problem-solving, strategic mindset, and translating needs into prototypes.
• Excellent communication across technical and mission stakeholders.
• Ability to convey fast-prototyped, mission-relevant solutions to non-technical audiences.
• Excellent interpersonal skills fostering collaboration across diverse teams.
• Demonstrated innovation, resourcefulness, and initiative.
• Current DoD TS and SSBI/SCI Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead rapid prototyping and early-stage instantiation of enterprise data/software solutions for mission customer organizations across networks.
• Pilot new techniques before broader adoption.
• Identify customer needs, set priorities, and translate prototypes into enterprise outcomes.
• Serve as principal technical lead to help teams understand workflows and test solutions.
• Develop adoption KPIs and translate pilots into scalable, trusted solutions.
• Lead a small cell of solutions engineers, data architects, and platform specialists; foster experimentation.
• Use Agile/lean methodologies to manage priorities and rapid sprints with customers.
• Promote DataOps/SoftwareOps and engage stakeholders through workshops and enablement sessions.
