Job summary

TRISTAR in Bloomington, IN seeks a Software Developer II to support Expeditionary EW ICO for the Azurite Program. You will design, implement, test, and maintain mission software, mainly using C++ and Python, across Linux and Windows environments.

Work with Systems, DSP, and RF engineers in an Agile setting, using Git-based workflows, and participate in architecture discussions and design reviews. A bachelor’s degree and eligibility for a secret clearance are required, and U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Programming or related field or equivalent experience.
• Must have or be able to obtain a CompTIA Security+ certification prior to start date.
• Ability to develop and maintain software using C++, Python and/or JavaScript.
• Able to work within a Git-based software development workflow.
• Ability to develop and debug software in Linux and Windows development environments.
• Ability to integrate software across multiple subsystems and to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an active secret security clearance.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and maintain mission software.
• Develop software primarily in C++ and Python.
• Support software integration, debugging, verification, and production hardening activities.
• Participate in software architecture discussions, implementation planning, and technical design reviews.
• Submit software changes through the established version control and merge request process.
• Participate in daily task planning and Agile software development activities.
• Collaborate with Systems, DSP, and RF engineers to develop integrated mission capabilities.
