Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Mission Software Engineer to join the Imaging Interfaces team. You will own fielded imaging systems, triage issues across the full stack, and act as a technical representative in customer integrations.

The role spans extending edge services, diagnosing time-sync and deployment issues, and maintaining end-to-end system health in a fast-moving environment with real stakes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software development with meaningful production ownership.
• Proficiency in at least one of C++, TypeScript/React, or Python and cross-stack capability.
• Comfort ramping into unfamiliar languages, tools, and deployment systems.
• 3+ years in Linux-based environments, including hands-on with bare-metal hardware.
• Ability to diagnose across system boundaries (networking, services, hardware) without full visibility.
• Strong written and verbal communication, able to explain technical problems to non-technical audiences, including field operators.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own fielded system health and uptime; triage, diagnose, and drive resolution across code, firmware, network, and hardware.
• Build and extend production services that run on edge devices in austere environments.
• Support field operations by diagnosing issues with deployed hardware and communicating under pressure.
• Represent the team externally as the subject matter expert in integrations with other products and teams.
• Maintain end-to-end system understanding across hardware, firmware, networking, and software.
• Collaborate across firmware, hardware, and platform engineers to plan, build, and test complex functionality.
