Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Mission Software Engineer for the Imaging Interfaces team. You will own fielded imaging systems, triage across the full stack, and represent the product in customer integrations, sometimes remotely and sometimes on-site.

The role spans extending gRPC services, diagnosing time-sync issues on deployed devices, and traveling to support customer integrations. You will work across hardware, firmware, networking, and software to ensure end-to-end system health.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software development with ownership of deployed systems.
• Proficient in C++, TypeScript/React, or Python; able to work across stack boundaries.
• Comfort in quickly ramping into new languages, tools, and deployment systems.
• 3+ years in Linux-based environments, including bare-metal hardware.
• Ability to diagnose across system boundaries without full visibility.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for non-technical audiences.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own fielded imaging system health, uptime, and behavior.
• Build and maintain modular production services for edge devices.
• Support field operations by diagnosing issues on deployed hardware.
• Represent the team in external integrations with customers and other teams.
• Maintain end-to-end system understanding across hardware, firmware, networking, and software.
• Collaborate across firmware, hardware, and platform engineers; travel ~25% for field work.
