We seek a Mission Software Engineer for the Imaging Interfaces team who will own fielded systems, triage across the full stack, and serve as a technical representative in customer integrations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production software development experience with ownership of deployed systems.
• Proficiency in Python and C++, with ability to work in either language.
• 5+ years Linux-based environments and bare-metal hardware.
• Ability to diagnose issues across networking, services, and hardware boundaries.
• Willingness to travel ~15% for field testing and customer integrations.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Own fielded system success: triage, diagnose, and resolve issues across the full stack.
• Build and maintain production services on edge devices in austere environments.
• Support field operations by working with operators to diagnose deployed hardware.
• Represent the team externally as a subject matter expert in integrations with other products.
• Maintain end-to-end system understanding across hardware, firmware, networking, and software.
• Collaborate across firmware, hardware, and platform engineers to plan and test complex functionality.
• Travel approximately 15% for field testing and customer integrations.
