Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton seeks an UAS Simulation and Test Automation Engineer to drive simulation, testing, and evaluation of robotic and uncrewed systems in DoD contexts. You will build environments for software and hardware validation, applying test-driven development, and mentoring junior engineers.

The role requires expertise in Linux-based embedded/edge systems, HIL/SIL integration, and data analytics. A Secret clearance is needed, with a strong emphasis on mission-ready capabilities and

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a software developer in Linux-based embedded or edge systems.
• 2+ years of experience integrating HIL and/or SIL testing into embedded environments.
• 2+ years of experience with test-driven development, including test design, automation, and regression testing.
• Experience analyzing and visualizing log files and telemetry data from testing.
• Experience with software package management and configuration tools (Conan, Nix).
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, CS, CE, EE, or Robotics.

Responsibilities

• Conduct the simulation, testing, and evaluation of robotic and uncrewed systems across multiple DoD mission areas.
• Build software and hardware test environments to prove performance through simulation and test-driven development.
• Apply advanced engineering techniques and mentor team members to deliver solutions.
• Work independently with minimal direction while collaborating with stakeholders.
