Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton seeks an Autonomous Flight Systems and Behaviors Engineer to research, develop, integrate, deploy, and evaluate robotic and uncrewed systems across DoD domains. You will operate at the intersection of software and hardware to design, build, test, and demonstrate new capabilities in sensing, autonomy, and human interaction.

Requires 5+ years in embedded C/C++ on Linux-based systems, 3+ years in autonomous flight software, and ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years embedded software in C/C++ on Linux-based embedded/edge systems
• 3+ years autonomy algorithms for autonomous aircraft
• 3+ years software for flight systems/controllers
• 1+ year distributed teaming algorithms for autonomous systems
• Experience with Conan and Nix for package/config management
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, CS, CE, EE, or Robotics

Responsibilities

• Research, develop, integrate, deploy and evaluate robotic and uncrewed systems across domains
• Design, build, test and demonstrate new robotic capabilities in sensing, autonomy, and human interaction
• Mentor and supervise team members while working with hardware and software integration
