Job summary

Leidos is seeking licensed mental health professionals to provide flexible, ready-to-serve counseling across military installations and communities. MFLCs operate without insurance or treatment plans and focus on solution-focused, preventative support for Service Members and families.

The role includes embedded duties with units, school settings, and DoW-affiliated environments, with assignment readiness and a no-administrative-burden approach designed to enhance resilience and readiness.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Behavioral Health Professions.
• Licensure to practice at independent level (LCSW, MFT, LPCC, Psychologist).
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Face-to-face counseling to military Service Members and their families (individual, couples, family, and children).
• Recommending appropriate referrals and handoffs to military and community resources based on needs.
• Offer presentations to address social skills development and social emotional learning for early childhood development.
• Build rapport with Service Members, spouses, and children by attending installation and community events.
• Help families and children with challenges related to military life, transitions, relocations, deployments, and separations.

Education

Master’s degree or higher in Behavioral Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA/PhD)

Professional licensure to practice at independent level (LCSW, MFT, LPCC, Psychologist)
