Job summary

Leidos (Reston, VA) is seeking a Mission Operations & Cyber Resilience Lead to run 24x7 platform operations and lead vulnerability remediation for the Data Exchange Platform. You will own incident response and authorization activities, coordinating with the Government’s cybersecurity service provider and leveraging AWS GovCloud.

The role requires extensive experience in federal DoD environments, strong leadership, and hands-on cloud/security expertise.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, engineering, or a related field required.
10 years in IT operations, cloud operations, or cybersecurity within a federal or DoD environment, including 3 leading a technical team or operations function.

Responsibilities

Lead 24x7 operations, monitoring, and Tier 2/3 incident response for production data exchange services hosted in AWS GovCloud.
Manage vulnerability and patch remediation (IAVM, STIG, ACAS) and maintain RMF/continuous authorization artifacts.
Implement Zero Trust and secure-cloud practices, integrating security checks into CI/CD pipelines with development teams.
Run change control and maintain runbooks, operational procedures, and recovery plans with Government coordination.
Deliver through iterative backlogs, report operational metrics to Government leadership, and act on feedback.
