Job summary

Muon Space seeks a Senior Mission Lead Systems Engineer to own end-to-end technical success from concept through on-orbit operations for high-assurance missions, spanning government and commercial programs. You will lead requirements, model systems, and develop test plans with AI&T, interfacing with customers and cross-functional teams to ensure mission performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 10+ years of complex systems or spacecraft design experience.
• Proven technical lead on at least one USG/DoD/IC or commercial complex system.
• Experience interfacing with external customers and managing expectations.
• Extensive experience in system modeling, analysis, and simulations.
• Strong requirements management across multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the ultimate technical authority for the mission, driving design and development.
• Translate customer objectives into verifiable technical requirements.
• Interface with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders on technical matters.
• Lead design, test readiness, and flight readiness reviews.
• Monitor on-orbit performance and data pipelines to ensure mission success.
• Collaborate with systems, hardware, software, data, ground segment, and operations teams.
