Job description

About Us:

At Quartermaster AI, we believe the ocean should be a safe and sustainably managed resource for all. By leveraging cutting-edge AI and robotics, we unlock capabilities that were only recently impossible. Our distributed open‑ocean systems enable every vessel to sense, compute, and communicate, enhancing maritime domain awareness for those who need it most.

Job Description :

Mission Integrators are the connective tissue between users and what we build. You will embed with customers, understand their actual workflows, identify where hardware and software can change outcomes, and then make that happen. The job ends when the capability is being used and relied upon, not when it’s been delivered.

Key Responsibilities:

You will spend significant time with our users. You’ll work alongside engineers and product designers, but you own the customer relationship and the problem definition. Those two things will be in tension constantly.

On any given week you might:

  • Sit with an analyst or operator to map a workflow end to end, then identify the one step that’s actually the bottleneck

  • Work with engineers to integrate a data source or configure a hardware component into a deployable solution

  • Brief a program office or CIO on what we’ve learned and what comes next

  • Run a training session and discover that what you built isn’t what users needed, and then figure out why and what to do about it

Your job is knowing what’s available, what gaps remain, and where Quartermaster’s hardware and software fills them.

Required Qualifications:

The most important thing is judgment. You need to be able to walk into an unfamiliar environment, take in incomplete information, and develop a credible point of view on what matters and why. The rest can be learned.

More specifically:

  • You’ve worked in or closely with operational environments: defense, federal, or adjacent. You understand how decisions actually get made in those organizations.

  • You can move between levels. Comfortable with a technical deep‑dive in the morning and a briefing to senior leadership in the afternoon, without losing fidelity in either direction.

  • You’re honest when you don’t know something and fast to close the gap.

  • You have enough technical fluency to work credibly with engineers. You don’t need to write production code, but you need to understand what’s hard and why.

  • You’re good at finding out what users actually need, which is different from asking them what they want.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in defense, intelligence, or maritime law enforcement.

  • Knowledge of naval order of battle (OOB) maritime intelligence

  • Familiarity with machine learning applications in maritime analytics.

Why Join Us?
  • Work on impactful projects that enhance national and global security.

  • Collaborate with top‑tier professionals in the defense and intelligence sectors.

  • Competitive salary, benefits, and career growth opportunities.
