Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is recruiting a Mission Integration Engineer to support NSS spacecraft–launch vehicle integration. The role interfaces with program offices, contractors, and customer personnel to ensure mission readiness and Do-Not-Harm assessments for future launches.

The position is on-site at El Segundo, CA, demanding strong systems engineering and leadership across multidisciplinary teams within a high-security environment.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or Science is required.
• 8+ years of related Systems Engineering and integration experience.
• Ability to travel.
• Secret clearance eligibility; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and track mission verification activities leading up to Day of Launch.
• Develop SV-LV interface requirements and verification approaches for ICDs.
• Support launch rehearsals and Day of Launch activities.
• Support multi-manifest spacecraft integration.
• Form and lead teams that work across functional organizations.
• Coordinate with launch vehicle programs, ETG, and launch sites to ensure systems meet mission requirements.
• Establish relationships with spacecraft programs and contractors.
• Engage with customer personnel at all levels.
• Mentor Space Force officers and develop program managers.
• Prepare and present mission readiness briefings at major reviews.
• Develop mission integration requirements and strategy for future launches.
