SMX is seeking a Mid-Level Mission Financial Analyst to support US Space Forces Indo-Pacific (SFI). This Financial Analyst will build and maintain exercise requirements, manage fiscal budgets and funding for space domain of theater-level exercises.

Responsibilities
- Develop, document, and maintain exercise requirements for the 5‑year program cycle, ensuring alignment with long‑term strategic objectives and resource availability.
- Collaborate with exercise stakeholders to compile, validate, and analyze exercise cost data.
- Prepare and present financial reports and briefings related to exercise requirements.
- Track and monitor historical exercise requirements updates throughout the fiscal years, identifying changes and codifying requirements for future program cycles.
- Manage the fiscal year budget, including tracking expenditures, forecasting future needs, and ensuring compliance with budgetary restrictions.
- Analyze budget variances and provide recommendations for corrective action.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely budget reports.
- Provide inputs to assist in the development of the component’s annual budget request.
- Oversee Defense Travel System (DTS) obligations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with travel regulations.
- Serve as Alternate lead on Contingency, Exercise, and Deployment (CED) orders products, including tracking augmentation, expenditures, and reporting.
- Ensure proper documentation and audit trails for all financial transactions.
Required Skills & Experience
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Ability to communicate and coordinate with allies and partner nations, including their respective commands.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office 365 products.
- Highly organized as all focus areas require tracking multiple requirements, maintaining a large amount of data in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent technical writing, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer focused.
- Capacity to learn new systems rapidly and adapt quickly to change.

- Experience with US Space Forces Indo-Pacific (SFI).
- Intra‑agency or joint command experience.

Compensation
The proposed salary for this position is: $78,000 USD - $102,000 USD
