Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Transportation Coordinator in Farmington, CT to dispatch employees and volunteers for blood pick-up and delivery. You will coordinate transportation-related services, including scheduling, routing, and ensuring safe vehicle operation inside the division.

You will support daily transportation operations, schedule volunteers with the Volunteer Manager, monitor manifests for courier tracking, handle invoicing and vendor communications, and coordinate with Fleet

Qualifications

• Requires a valid driver's license and clean DMV record.
• Basic computer, reading and communication skills are required.
• Minimum of two years of related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch ARC employees and volunteer drivers for blood pick-up and delivery.
• Coordinate transportation services including scheduling and routing.
• Monitor and ensure safe operation of all vehicles and manage related administrative duties.
• Interact with customers to provide delivery updates and coordinate with vendors and volunteers.
• Perform invoice monitoring and timely payment of bills; liaise with Fleet and Supply Management.
