Job summary

NAVY Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) in United States-Illinois-Great Lakes is seeking a Sales Associate to be the face of our brand and deliver premier service. You will engage customers, highlight products, and help them find what they need while sharing promotions and store layout.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of products and merchandise.
• Retail experience preferred but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; read/write/interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Basic math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a team with initiative.

Responsibilities

• Proactively engage and connect with customers.
• Ask questions and listen to customer needs.
• Direct customers to merchandise and inform about promotions.
• Provide premier customer service.
• Maintain store appearance.
• Cross-sell and upsell; know store layout.
• Use POS system and handle payments.
• Complete paperwork, reports and reconciliations.
• Be responsible for inventory and periodic counts.
• Adhere to work schedule and follow through on tasks.
