Job summary

Wellpath in MI Washtenaw Cty Jail is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality patient care under RN supervision. You will assess patients, administer medications and support treatment plans within a secure facility.

This full-time role requires an active LPN/LVN license in the state of employment and CPR certification, with preferred one year of clinic experience. Day shifts with comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Prefer a minimum of one (1) year clinic experience.
• Must maintain current LPN/LVN licensure in the state of employment and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, assesses patients' physical, psychological, and social dimensions.
• Implements treatment programs, administers medications (including IV therapy if certified), and performs diagnostic tests.
• Collaborates in controlled substance counts and adheres to safety protocols while responding to codes.
• Assists in medical or minor surgical procedures and documents nursing encounters.
• Attends mandatory staff meetings and training sessions.
