Job summary

Leidos is seeking a motivated Project Management Intern to join the AFNCR IT Services team supporting senior defense leaders and national commands. You will learn to plan, manage, and execute enterprise IT initiatives within a mission-critical environment, while developing essential PM skills under experienced mentors.

The role offers hands-on experiences across project planning, risk assessment, stakeholder communication, and performance reporting, with core business hours and a 10–12 week

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program in Business Administration, Project Management, or IT.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• U.S. Citizenship is required with ability to obtain/maintain DoD Secret clearance.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate meetings—scheduling, reminders, and agendas.
• Track project progress using project management tools and update milestones.
• Compile and organize project documentation for team members and stakeholders.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Liaise with external vendors and stakeholders to ensure alignment.
• Analyze project data to prepare status reports and outcomes.
• Participate in quality assurance of deliverables and process improvements.
• Monitor project dependencies and maintain a clear work breakdown structure.
• Actively track and manage tasks to meet milestones and quality standards.
