Job summary

Leidos in the National Capital Region seeks a Project Management Intern to support enterprise IT initiatives for Air Force National Capital Region. You'll work with experienced project managers, technical teams, and staff to learn how to plan, execute, and monitor projects in a mission-critical defense environment.

The role covers developing project plans, coordinating meetings, tracking progress, and preparing documentation.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or IT, or a closely related field.
Must be in good academic standing (Rising Sophomores, Juniors, or Seniors considered).
U.S. Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, to ensure successful project completion.
Coordinate meetings, including scheduling, sending reminders, and preparing meeting agendas to facilitate effective communication among project team members.
Track project progress by updating project management software and tools, ensuring milestones are met on schedule.
Compile and organize project documentation, ensuring all necessary materials are accessible for team members and stakeholders.
Conduct risk assessments for projects to identify potential issues and develop mitigation strategies.
Support the project manager in liaising with external vendors and stakeholders to maintain communication and project alignment.
