Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an Interim Executive Director for a mission-driven nonprofit organization. This onsite opportunity in Northern California offers the chance to provide strategic and operational leadership while guiding a multidisciplinary leadership team through a period of transition.

The role reports to the Board of Directors and emphasizes collaboration, culture building, and exceptional service delivery.

Qualifications

• Executive leadership experience in healthcare, substance use treatment, or human services.
• Strong understanding of regulations, licensing standards, and compliance.
• Proven success leading multidisciplinary teams while building trust and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for organizational operations, program delivery, and cross-functional teams.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, licensing, documentation, and quality standards.
• Lead, coach, and develop managers while fostering a collaborative, accountable, mission-focused culture.
• Drive program improvements, operational efficiencies, and continuous quality initiatives.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders, community partners, and oversight agencies.
• Partner with the Board of Directors to support stability, strategic priorities, and operational success.
