Job summary

Wabash Valley Health Center (WVHC) seeks an experienced Chief Operating Officer to lead clinical and administrative operations. Reporting to the CEO, the COO will advance organizational goals, enhance efficiency, support quality patient care, and ensure long-term success while upholding WVHC's mission of accessible, high-quality healthcare.

The role requires strategic leadership, strong regulatory knowledge, and ability to drive cross-department collaboration to build a high-performing team

Qualifications

• Five+ years of progressive healthcare leadership experience.
• Experience in FQHC, community health center, or safety-net setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local healthcare regulations.
• MBA/MHA/MPH or other relevant master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for day-to-day operations of the health center.
• Implement organizational policies, programs, and strategic initiatives.
• Align operational activities with WVHC's strategic plan and mission.
• Foster a culture of quality, accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Support patient care through efficient and cost-effective operations.
• Monitor performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
