Job summary

Harvesters—The Community Food Network is seeking a Facilities Supervisor at the Kansas Distribution Center. This role handles food safety, sanitation, maintenance, and compliance, coordinating paperwork under the Logistics & VEC Manager.

The shift runs Tuesday through Saturday, with duties spanning sanitation oversight, equipment operation, and general facility upkeep. The ideal candidate has ≥4 years in supervision, a high school diploma or equivalent, forklift certification, and strong written

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent, plus 2 years in food safety/facility operations.
• 4 years in a supervisory role.
• Certified forklift operator.
• Computer literacy.
• Legible handwriting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise volunteers assigned to assist with building and grounds sanitation.
• Inspect facility to identify sanitation needs; maintain ongoing lists using sanitation logs.
• Follow and maintain SDS, AIB, Feeding America, and Harvesters sanitation procedures.
• Safely operate warehouse, material-handling, and cleaning equipment.
• Perform custodial duties to maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions.
• Maintain mezzanine storage area and inventory of cleaning supplies.
• Perform general maintenance items for the facility like painting, basic repairs, basic plumbing.
• Other duties as assigned.
