Job summary

Harvesters is seeking a Food Safety & Facility Supervisor at the Kansas Distribution Center to oversee sanitation, safety compliance, and facility maintenance. You will coordinate preventative maintenance, manage supplies, and ensure OSHA and internal standards are followed.

The role includes lifting up to 50 pounds, occasional weekend work, and collaboration with the Logistics & VEC Manager. A strong commitment to Harvesters' mission and values is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; minimum 2 years in food safety and facility operations.
• 4 years in a supervisory role.
• Facility and equipment maintenance, preferably in a food industry setting.
• Certified forklift operator.
• Computer literacy.
• Legible handwriting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise volunteers assigned to assist with building and grounds sanitation.
• Inspect facility to identify sanitation needs; maintain ongoing lists using Click Maintenance app and sanitation logs.
• Follow and maintain SDS, AIB, Feeding America, and Harvesters sanitation procedures.
• Safely operate warehouse, material-handling, and cleaning equipment.
• Performs custodial duties to maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions.
• Maintain mezzanine supply storage area and inventory of cleaning supplies.
• Perform general maintenance items for the facility like painting, basic repairs, basic plumbing.
