The Arc Western Montana in Missoula, MT, seeks a seasoned Chief Human Resources Officer to provide strategic HR leadership across our 170-person workforce and partner with executive leadership to guide employee relations, recruitment, performance, and compliance.

You will oversee compensation and benefits, leave administration, and workforce development while driving HR technology-driven improvements and ensuring a positive, mission-aligned workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of progressive HR leadership experience.
• Experience in employee relations, investigations, and leave administration.
• Experience with workers' compensation and employment law compliance.
• Non-profit experience preferred; SHRM certifications encouraged.

Responsabilités

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for all HR functions.
• Partner with executive leadership to develop and implement workforce strategies.
• Lead employee relations, performance management, investigations, and conflict resolution.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, retention, and workforce development initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulatory requirements.
• Direct compensation, benefits, leave administration, and workers’ compensation programs.
• Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement through HR technology and data.
• Coach and develop managers and supervisors in leadership practices.
• Lead training, leadership development, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Utilize workforce data to support strategic decision-making.
