Job summary

Jack & Jill Center in Fort Lauderdale, FL, seeks a Chief Financial Officer to lead financial strategy, governance, and day-to-day fiscal operations for a nonprofit serving children and families.

The CFO will partner with the CEO and Board, oversee budgeting, forecasting, accounting, audits, and grants. Strong nonprofit finance experience and leadership will guide a growing organization dedicated to mission impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
• CPA or other relevant professional financial certification strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of progressively responsible finance and accounting experience.
• Experience with nonprofit accounting, restricted funds, grant accounting, and audits.
• Experience advising executive leadership and presenting to the Board.

Responsibilities

• Lead the comprehensive financial strategy aligned with the organization's mission and priorities.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and financial reporting.
• Ensure internal controls, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage cash, investments and financial systems with a focus on scalability.
• Partner with CEO/Board to provide strategic financial insights and risk management.
