Job summary

Intermountain seeks a Chief Financial Officer to join our executive team and advance financial health for our mission-driven nonprofit serving children and families. You will partner with the CEO and Board to shape strategy, manage risk, and ensure sustainable growth.

The CFO will lead accounting, budgeting, audit, and financial reporting, build high-performing teams, and translate complex data into actionable guidance for the board and leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
• 8-10 years of progressively responsible financial and administrative leadership experience.
• At least 5 years in an executive-level role overseeing finance, operations, performance management, quality assurance, or risk management.
• Proven experience leading and developing teams.
• Valid Montana driver's license or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting, finance, reporting, audit, budgeting, and asset management functions.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Lead financial forecasting, cash flow planning, and profitability analysis.
• Maintain strong internal controls and financial governance practices.
• Manage banking relationships, investments, real estate assets, and financial risk.
• Serve as trusted advisor to the CEO, Executive Leadership Team, and Board of Directors.
• Define and execute the organization's long-term strategic vision.
• Evaluate opportunities for growth, innovation, and operational improvement.
• Lead financial strategy that supports mission impact and organizational sustainability.
• Participate in Board meetings and provide clear, insightful financial guidance.
