King County Solid Waste Division is seeking a Truck Driver III to support transfer stations and the Cedar Hills Regional Landfill in Maple Valley, WA. This full-time, term-limited temporary role offers diverse driving duties and a path to growth within a public agency.

You will haul refuse, operate a variety of heavy trucks, complete safety inspections, and maintain accurate trip reports while upholding safety and environmental standards.

Qualificações

• Minimum 5 years of safe tractor/trailer driving experience.
• Ability to communicate with a diverse staff and customers.
• Skilled in working in a team and independently to complete assignments.
• Experience managing Heavy Construction operations.
• Experience working in an oil field or similar industrial operations.
• Experience operating logging or other heavy-duty trucks.

Responsabilidades

• Safely operate a variety of commercial vehicles, including trucks and trailers, water tankers, dump trucks, fuel tankers, side dumps, and lowboy trailers.
• Hook and unhook hydraulic hoses to trailers.
• Drive in varied weather and install tire chains safely.
• Load and transport solid waste, trailers, equipment, gravel, water, fuel, and other materials.
• Perform and document safety inspections of tractors and trailers.
• Check and refill fluids and tire pressure; refuel and maintain vehicles.
• Document trip activities and complete required trip reports.
