Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Tenneva is seeking a friendly Cashier to join our Retail team. You will greet customers, handle payments, and help keep the sales floor organized. This role supports merchandise flow, collaborates with a team, and maintains a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Friendly and professional customer service.
• Accurately handle cash and operate POS.
• Dependable and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule, including Sundays.
• Able to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 25–35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Accurately operate the cash register and POS system, process payments, make change, and bag merchandise.
• Answer customer questions and assist with shopping needs.
• Help move clothing to the sales floor and place merchandise in the appropriate areas.
• Assist with merchandise rotation and keep racks organized and customer-ready.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized checkout, dressing room, and sales-floor areas.
• Work as part of the Retail team to support daily store operations.
• Follow Goodwill's safety, security, and cash-handling procedures.
