Job summary

BHcare is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join the Finance team in Connecticut. The role focuses on processing high-volume AP invoices with accurate coding, preparing check runs, and supporting banking activities.

You will also handle journal entries, month-end close assistance, and vendor communications. The ideal candidate has at least two years in accounting or bookkeeping, strong knowledge of accounting principles, and proficiency in Excel.

Qualifications

• Two years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
• Experience with accounts payable and general ledger processes.
• Familiarity with computerized accounting systems and MS Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Process high-volume accounts payable invoices with accurate coding and approvals.
• Prepare weekly check runs and ACH payments, maintain records and support banking activities.
• Enter journal entries and assist with month-end closing tasks.
• Research vendor inquiries, reconcile statements, and maintain vendor records.
