Job summary

Aleut Federal is seeking a Telecommunications Equipment Installer and Repairer to support AF TENCAP communications, VTC, A/V, and HOSP infrastructure in Colorado Springs. You will manage hardware lifecycles, coordinate with teams, and ensure secure, compliant installations.

The role requires 3+ years of telecom experience, a High School Diploma, and an obtainable Top Secret/SCI clearance. Onsite duties at a customer facility with comprehensive benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 8570 IAT II (Sec+) certification required or ability to obtain.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Plan, install, configure, and maintain telecom, VTC, and A/V systems including secure equipment.
• Provide Level 2 HOSP maintenance and diagnostics.
• Coordinate hardware and OS upgrades ensuring lifecycle compliance.
• Manage cable plant design, installation, and documentation per DoD/AF standards.
• Troubleshoot complex telecom/HOSP failures with vendors and agencies.
• Maintain installation records, wiring diagrams, and configuration baselines.
• Support VTC scheduling and user assistance for secure conferencing.
• Ensure IT security practices and AF cybersecurity policy adherence.
